Adult Developmental Disabilities Residential Services
Community living services for individuals age 22 and older. Community living services provide the necessary assistance and support to meet the daily living and safety needs of individuals. Adult Residential services include Supported Living and Assisted Living.
Supported Living Services
Services are furnished in a home or apartment setting of 3 or fewer individuals with developmental disabilities who receive various personal care, daily living and social skills training services on a 24-hour basis.
Assisted Living Services
Services occur in a more independent environment than Supported Living Services. They are support services that enable persons with developmental disabilities to live independently in their own home or with family members. Staff provides support on a planned periodic schedule, averaging at least 10 hours of direct support per week. Services should be provided in the home environment, with the exception of activities that naturally occur in the community (banking, grocery shopping, etc.).
Adult Residential Services
Services may include assistance with money management, meal preparation, administration of medicine, nutritional counseling, nursing, mobility assistance, personal care etc. For more information on Residential Services, refer to the State General Funded Service Definitions and Standards.
