For more information on State General Funded Services, please call toll-free 1-877-696-1472, or email us and ask for SGF Services Information.
State General Funded Services Contract Criteria
Contract criteria can be obtained through contacting the State General Funds Contract Manager at (505) 827-2700 or through writing to: Contracts Officer, 1190 St. Francis Drive, Harold Runnels Building, N-1100, P.O. Box 26110, Santa Fe, NM 87502-6110. Becoming an SGF Provider is accomplished through responding to the state's Request for Proposal for bids on services in the state.
Service Contracts and Request for Proposals
A service contract is issued once a Provider has been awarded the opportunity to provide services in a designated region. Contract term length is up to three years but each new fiscal year, the state may opt to either renew or discontinue the contract based on performance or lack of sufficient state appropriated funds. Contracts may include budgets for standard services or for special projects, referred to as outcome-based projects. These projects are the result of Providers' responses to the state's Request for Proposals for alternative service models or innovative programs.
Adding Additional Counties to Contract for Services
Contact compliance is based on the ability to serve in the contracted counties, good service delivery, proper utilization of budget for services, innovative approaches and the ability to provide services in a manner consistent with the State General Funded Service Definitions and Standards (in Adobe pdf). If a Provider wants to add a county to their contracted service area, referred to as a cachement area, the Provider should submit a letter on company letterhead to the SGF Contracts Manager (see above) stating what county or counties they would like to add. The letter should be signed and dated at the bottom to indicate the agreement by the Provider to adhere to the terms and conditions of their current contract while providing services in the additional counties.
