Traditional Supported Employment
Vocational Services are provided in a natural setting to individuals with developmental disabilities who are 22 years of age and older and seeking employment. The program is designed to help individuals transition out of Habilitation/Vocational Programs into a more independent setting. The Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) determines eligibility for the supported employment program. One pre-requisite must be that an individual wants to be placed in an employment setting where the length of employment would be a minimum of 10 hours a week. The individual would earn minimum wage or above. Each participant receives a vocational profile that outlines his or her job vision and goals and how the team can support those goals. Since services occur in a natural setting, individuals are given the opportunity to develop strong natural supports.
