Medical Countermeasures / POD
The State of New Mexico Medical Countermeasure (MCM) Plan is supplemented by a Medical Countermeasures Operational Guide (MCMOG) that contains information about planning and implementing a public health campaign to dispense medicine, vaccines or medical supplies, collectively referred to as medical countermeasures (MCM), during a public health emergency. Additionally, the Medical Countermeasure POD Administrative Toolkit is a collection of useful resources, templates and forms to help streamline POD setup and operations.
The New Mexico Department of Health, Public Health Division, in conjunction with NM MRC Serves is continuously recruiting volunteers to help with the distribution and dispensing of medicine during public health emergencies. The “New Mexico Adopt-a-Pod” program has been developed to attract local community members to volunteer to work at locations in their own communities and all across the State.
