Statewide Aspiration Risk List (SARL)

The aspiration risk list called the Statewide Aspiration Risk List (SARL) improves supports and monitoring for individuals at risk for aspiration who are served by the NM Developmental Disability Medicaid Waiver.

Services Available Through the Program

Persons whose names are referred to this list are required to have a Mealtime Procedure Packet and must be monitored closely by an eating specialist and by their case manager. 

How to Make a Referral

Healthcare professionals, interdisciplinary teams (IDT) and family members can make referrals to the SARL.  Please contact the Aspiration Coordinator at aspiration.coord@state.nm.us for more information.
