2007 DDSD Statewide Awards
The Developmental Disabilities Supports Division (DDSD) honored the following people and agencies for demonstrating excellence in Meaningful Day services.  Awards were given in the areas of Best Employer and Employee, Individual Accomplishment, Professional Achievement, Provider Excellence, and Best Community Membership practices.

2007 ddsd statewide directors meeting HONARABLE MENTION CERTIFICATE RECIPIENTS

Jesse Scott receives Honorable Mention for Community Best Practices, Individual Success of the Year for exploring the possibilities of living as a self-motivated member of his community.

Jesse has made Dona Ana Community College a part of his life as well as a part of what he defines as a meaningful day.  The once shy Jesse has now become a confident, independent jokester.

Jesse has learned to be self-motivated and his mother commented that there is a significant difference in Jesse and how he expresses his independence.  Jesse is more at home and frequently socializes with everyone he meets.  Jesse has knocked down barriers, built new friendships and increased his knowledge and skills.
