2010 DDSD Statewide Director’s Community Inclusion Awards
The Developmental Disabilities Supports Division (DDSD) honored the following individuals, community organizations and business for demonstrating excellence in Community Inclusion. Awards were given in the categories of business ownership, outstanding employee of a business owner, community based adult habilitation, individual community membership, team champions supporting individual community membership, full community inclusion, case manager employment champion, employee of the year and employer of the year.

2010 DDSD STATEWIDE DIRECTORS COMMUNITY INCLUSION AWARDS

Holy Cross Hospital is award winner for the 2010 Employer of the Year in partnership with Ms. Loretta Archuleta, 2010 Employee of the Year.

Holy Cross Hospital has employed Loretta for nearly 15 years in the Accounts Payable Department as a file clerk and administrative support.

Loretta’s supervisor for the last 11 years is Ms. Naomi Grant who we are pleased to acknowledge as an outstanding employer partner. Naomi acknowledges that Loretta is responsible for the whole filing system including transition from the old to a new year.

Naomi does not view Loretta as having a disability and joins the entire department in treating her as any other member of the team.

Naomi says that Loretta is “my right hand,” and depends on her to keep the paperwork flowing. She also says that Loretta is a dedicated and reliable employee and admires that Loretta is always happy to be at work. They are proud to have her as part of their department.
