Taking Action in New Mexico - The Community Solutions Summit
The Developmental Disabilities Supports Division (DDSD) is excited to share the results of partnership efforts to achieve full community inclusion for people with disabilities receiving DDSD services. In the Fall of 2006 the Advisory Council on Quality Supports for Individuals with Developmental Disabilities and their Families (ACQ) brought together over a 100 people with disabilities, family members, providers, advocates and other stakeholders, along with DDSD, to identify important topics and concerns that New Mexicans with developmental disabilities and their families share.  One of the results of this was the forming of a vision and values  statement that is the core of our commitment.

This Community Solutions Summit, sponsored by the ACQ, used the PATH  approach for stakeholders to identify important topics to people with developmental disabilities and developed ideas for addressing each topic.  Each arrow on this web page represents a topic to be addressed by people with disabilities, family members, providers, advocates and other stakeholders along with DDSD.  By clicking on the arrow, you can read a summary of the group’s discussion and action steps it developed.  The information under each arrow are the ideas from the PATH Workgroup members.
