Program Authorization
Individuals with Developmental Disabilities are served through the State General Funded Services as regulated by the New Mexico Statute Authority Chapter 16 Developmental Disability Community Services Act. The Program is coordinated through the Developmental Disabilities Services Division under Program Area VII, Developmental Disabilities Community Services, of the Department of Health Strategic Plan (in Adobe pdf).
Program Services
State General Fund Program services include: respite for children and adults with developmental disabilities, adult residential, vocational and self-directed family supports. The State General Fund also funds several specialized programs including the Prader-Willi Syndrome Project, the Autism Program, and Supports to Parents with Developmental Disabilities as well as training and technical assistance to direct service programs.
