Supported Employment Transition Program

Supported Employment Services
Transitional supported employment services are designed for students as a transition from high school into an adult community-based supported employment program. Pre-vocational and vocational services are designed for high school juniors and seniors with developmental disabilities to help develop vocational vision. The Student Employment Services is an innovative pilot project that began in 2005 and is currently available.

The goal is to provide alternative employment supports for individuals with developmental disabilities who are gaining greater independence and are developing greater natural supports. The objective is for all individuals to have gainful employment and a support system to maintain the employment. Schools interested in participation in the Student Employment Services should send a statement of why the school is unable to provide this service.
