Project M Public Health Interns Valley Hoopz The Spot - Teen Dance SVMIP play Barber Shop Outreach Media Campaign

The Spot "the scene to be clean" - Teen Dance

The SVMIP in collaboration with the City of Albuquerque and Youth Development, Inc. have held free teen dances for youth in the South Valley. These dances give youth an opportunity to have fun in their community in an environment free of alcohol and drugs.  Participants at the dance are exposed to health information in the form of multimedia presentations and performances that celebrate healthy choices by young people. The SVMIP interns play a crucial role in the planning and coordination of this event and are essential in the outreach strategies for The Spot.
