Income Guidelines / % Pay Schedule 2006

Based on Federal Poverty Guidelines

Family Size

The Federal Poverty Guidelines are updated yearly and published in the Federal Register by the US Department of Health and Human Services. Our sliding fee scale is based upon these guidelines. The sliding fee scale is used so there is no financial barrier to family planning services for low income people.
The Family Size is the economic unit, or number of people, supported by the family income.

How Much Will it Cost?

The NM Department of Health Family Planning Program receives money from State and Federal funds. Because of this you pay according to your income and family size.
You will be asked to bring a tax form, check stub, note from your employer or other written proof of family income. If you forget your documentation, you will still receive services.
We are glad to accept donations to the program. This money will be used to provide services for low-income clients.
